Oh, you lucky, lucky dog, you! Congrats on an awesome typewriter day, and super-congrats on finding such a nice Rocket so soon!

very nice! I love those green Olympias. That looks like my elite Rocket but in much better condition. Was it made in Brazil, as was mine?

It has a very prominent “MADE IN SWITZERLAND” underneath the Hermes logo on the ribbon cover, so maybe?

Oh I’m soooo jealous! Great finds! 🙂

Wow, a double win! The Olympia may be the special 11-pitch “Olympia elite” face — right between the typical pica and elite. SM3’s are *great* machines, even with the carriage shift. You got yourself a good find there. And the Rocket looks ready for type-in happiness.

Great find at a great price! Even here in Hermes-land, bargains like this are becoming harder to find.

Ooh, beautiful Hermes. I have the same one, inherited from my great-grandmother, also from central Michigan–Greenville and Belding. I’m having some issues with mine–I’ve been using it a lot, and now it gets stuck with the caps locked. Any ideas about fixing that?
